The Soma region of Fukushima Prefecture has a long association with horses that strongly connected to its history, culture, and identity. California Riding is a riding club that respects that tradition, giving members and visitors a chance to experience riding and interacting with horses. It has five horses, a goat, six roosters, two cats, and a dog. Although the club is basically a members-only club, it also offers horseback riding programs for visitors. The programs include a course for beginners to experience riding on a 10-minute course around the paddock, led by instructors.

The club grounds also host a number of campsites that can be used for day camping, with access to electricity, showers, and other facilities. Many camping goods can be rented onsite, such as barbecue grills, charcoal, lanterns, etc. The club can arrange programs that include camping and horseback riding, and a wide range of menu items for barbequing can be arranged through consultation with the club.
